Who owns the ad account?

You do, permanently. OpenAI does not let an agency create an advertiser account for a client. You sign up, you verify, then you add our email as a user. Remove us any time and everything stays with you.

What if I can't get verified?

Full refund. We check eligibility on day one and if OpenAI declines your business, you get your $499 back. That is why the three boxes exist.

What happens right after I pay?

You get an onboarding form by email. It covers your products, your best customers, your margins and the phrases people use when they describe what you sell. That form is what your campaign targeting and copy are built from, so the more detail you give it, the better the ads. Takes about fifteen minutes. Alongside it we send the steps for creating your OpenAI ads account.

How long does verification actually take?

Usually 3 to 7 days, but OpenAI reviews applications in a rolling queue and there is no fast track. Verification is handled by Persona. OpenAI states that ads require business verification and not identity verification, though some applicants have been asked for photo ID, so have a passport to hand. Our 14-day build clock starts the day you are approved.

I'm not in the US. Can I still buy?

Not yet, unless things have changed this week. Self-serve opened to US advertisers first, with the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and Mexico listed as following. Email hello@roninmgmt.com with your country and we will tell you where it stands and hold your place.

Will this make me sales?

We can't promise that and nobody honestly can. This is a setup product. It puts you in a channel most of your competitors are not in yet, correctly tracked, so you can find out cheaply whether it works for your category.

How much should I budget for ads?

Around $50 a day over two to three weeks is a fair first test. Less than that and you will not get enough data to judge it. That money goes to OpenAI, not to us.
